Hi! If you're wondering, the title is no exaggeration! These are the BEST EVER brownies! I made these for my dad's birthday to take to work with him and everyone loved them! Here is how you make them,
Preparation time: 15mins
Cooking time: 25mins
Makes: 28 Brownies
Best Served Cool
Ingredients:
300g unsalted butter
300g dark chocolate (The better the chocolate quality the better the brownie) broken into pieces
5 large eggs
450g granulated sugar
1 tbs vanilla extract
200g plain flour
1 tbs salt
Method:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / gas mark 4.
2. Line a baking tin with grease proof paper or baking parchment.
3. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a heat proof bowl suspended over a saucepan of barley simmering water.
4. Beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract together in a bowl until the mixture is thick and creamy.
5. When the chocolate and butter have melted remove from the heat and pour the chocolate mix into the egg mix and stir.
6. Sift the flour and salt into the mixture.
7. Pour the mix into the tin and make sure it is evenly distributed in the tin.
Leave in the oven for about 25 mins or until the whole of the top has formed a light brown crust that has started to crack. Leave to cool for about 20 mins. Cut up and enjoy!
Optional: Add dried fruit or nuts into the mix for more flavour!
Happy Baking!
